Jillian Carol, LMSW
Jillian was born and raised in Brooklyn and enjoys the unique cultures that blooms throughout the city. As a psychotherapist, Jillian strives to provide clients with a safe and comfortable space. A space that is free of judgement and full of support. Jillian has a great drive for social work. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology from CUNY John Jay College, she then went on to receive her MSW from Fordham University. Throughout the years, she’s had a lengthy amount of experience in helping victims of abuse and mental illness. She has a passion for treating clients who struggle with trauma, depression, domestic violence, PTSD, anxiety, bipolar disorder and work stress. She also has worked with couples and the LGBT community. Jillian actively advocates self-care and self- awareness. Her approach to treatment is person centered, as well as trauma informed, holistic and other structures that fits the individual.
For leisure, Jillian enjoys reading and writing on topics of self-care that continues to motivate individuals. Some of her top list books are; All About Love by Bell Hooks, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and An Unquiet Mind A Memoir of Moods and Madness by Redfield Jamison, to name a few. With each read leaving something to work with and explore.
