Jake Dann-Soury, LMSW
Jake grew up in New York City and attended Syracuse University where he studied social work. Jake received his Master of Science in Social Work graduate degree at Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work. His clinical interests include treating individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and working to increase clients confidence and empower them to make the changes they want.
Jake has a client-centered approach and utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, which include mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma informed care. He enjoys working with groups as well as individuals of all ages.
Jake is passionate about social injustice and is currently working on a PhD in Social welfare. In his PhD studies Jake is focusing on how to make mental health support more accessible and how race and class affect our accessibility to these services. He has volunteered at organizations that work with underserved communities connecting them with resources that help their daily lives.
In his free time, Jake enjoys reading, riding his bike, and watching both the Mets and Knicks games. He is a strong supporter of social justice and spends time working with Wrongfully Convicted organizations.
