Amanda Abdeldayem, LMSW
Amanda was born and raised in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Francis College and a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University. Upon graduating, Amanda obtained her LMSW and CASAC-t certificate and is currently working on her clinical license.
Amanda has worked within private practices, outpatient substance abuse clinics, hospitals, group homes, and schools. She has experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and various mental illnesses.
Amanda believes in empowering others and excels in utilizing a strength based approach to help clientele, along with motivational interviewing, CBT, family therapy and group therapy.
Amanda is of Egyptian origin and is fluent in speaking Arabic. During her free time, she enjoys volunteering within her community to help educate others about the importance of mental health and self-care. Self-care is an important aspect of Amanda’s life. She is often found participating in enjoyable activities such as going for long walks, working out and spending time with family and friends.
